Green Deal Domestic Assessor Courses now available

PPL Training are pleased to announce that the first set of Green Deal Domestic Assessor training courses are now available at the company’s York and Wigan training centres.
Candidates for the Green Deal Assessors course must be a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and have completed their 2012 1 day CPD update. The new course is 6 days in duration – Monday to Saturday (inclusive) and includes a full portfolio build of the 2 required Domestic Green Deal assessment properties. 

These qualifications have been specifically developed for practising Domestic and Non-Domestic Energy Assessors and any learners wishing to provide Green Deal Advice.

Notes:
The Green Deal is the UK Government’s flagship policy on energy efficiency in buildings and these qualifications will enable the learner to become Green Deal Advisors, who will produce Green Deal assessments and reports using relevant and approved software.The UK needs to become more energy efficient to reduce emissions affecting the climate change, therefore the Green Deal policy under the Energy Act 2011 aims to retrofit 14million homes by 2020 which proposes to cut CO2 emissions in housing by 29% and 13% in workplaces.(Source DECC).
PPL Training are one of the few training providers that have been selected by City & Guilds to run the first Green Deal pilot courses in the UK.
