PPL Training will be at The Renewables Roadshow 2012 to outline the current training options available for installers and energy assessors who want to get involved in The Green Deal, which comes into place in October of this year. The Green Deal is set to improve the energy efficiency of existing UK homes and businesses in a move that is expected to bring about 65,000 new jobs to the UK as well as funding schemes for individuals that want to take part.
We will also be outlining the benefits of becoming an approved Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) installer in the areas of Solar PV (Photovoltaic) Systems, Solar Thermal Heating Systems, Biomass Heating Systems and Heat Pump Systems. Being an MCS accredited installer allows the end user or customer access to the Feed In Tariff (FIT) for renewable electricity generation and payments through Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments. The MCS Scheme has been put in place to ensure the high-quality design and installation of renewable systems in order to improve consumer confidence of renewable micro-heat.
