This course has been developed by Bpec in association with the Underfloor Heating Manufacturers Association. It is an underfloor heating system design course, therefore principally aimed at those involved in the installation of underfloor heating systems (UFH). There is a separate designers course the Bpec Underfloor Heating Design course.

  • Explain the basic principles of warm water underfloor heating (UFH) systems
  • State the advantages of UFH systems
  • Describe the floor systems and finishes associated with UFH systems
  • State the various UFH system types on the market
  • Explain the operation of the UFH systems and components
  • Describe the general installation and testing requirements of UFH systems, and demonstrate an understanding of a range of manufacturer specific products
  • Explain the requirements for post installation activities including:
      - Commissioning the underfloor heating system
      - System operation and maintenance
      - Troubleshooting
      - User information
