This course is to meet the requirements of BS7671:2008 known as the 17th Edition wiring regulations.
This full 17th edition wiring regulations course is run over 5 weeks on a Monday evening. This course starts on Monday 1st September 2008. There is a start time of 6:30pm and the course finishes at 9.30pm.

This course is to meet the requirements of BS7671:2008 known as the 17th Edition wiring regulations.
BS7671:2008 came into effect on 1st July 2008. This electrical training course is for new entrant electricians to gain their 17th edition wiring regulations certificate or holders of the 16th edtion before 2001. The City & Guilds 2382 can be taken as a 1 day upgrade for holders of the City & Guilds 2381 16th Edition Wiring Regulations 2001 (or equivalent) or this evening City & Guilds 2382 17th Edition Wiring Regulations for new entrants or non-current 16th edition holders.

This course is excluded from PPL's no reassessment fee policy as we are charged by City & Guilds for each online GOLA exams. Your first attempt is included in the course fees and subsequent City & Guilds 2382 17th Edition wiring online exams will be charged at £50 plus vat.
City & Guilds 2382 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Course - Theory (Monday evenings 17th edtion course)
This 5 week electrical course is classroom based and consists of a five lecture sessions and an online City & Guilds GOLA examination for the 2382. There is no practical element for this course.

After completing the five 3 hour training sessions, candidates then return the PPL for a 2.5 hour online open book assessment. This can be arrange when it is suitable for the candidate.
The course covers the highly commended NICEIC 17th Edition training presentation by experienced electrical tutors.
A copy of the NICEIC 17th Edition training manual (413 pages) is also included in the course fees and is issued on the first day of the course.

A - We provide you with a copy of the BSI 17th Edition Wiring Regulations to use at PPL, although we strongly recommend you purchase your own copy and the NIC 17th Edition training manual. Both can be found in online electrical book shop.
