** Come and join our FREE Taster Day **
Want to become a domestic electrical installer ? Try before you buy and experience a day in the life of a PPL learner! We run Saturday open days every month and they are completely FREE! On the day you can chat with a tutor and carry out some basic electrical techniques. The day is structured around your requirements but will give you an excellent idea of what to expect. Open days are by appointment only typically with around 10 attendees, the day will include your lunch and of course all the tea you can drink!! Call 0845 2600 966 to book your place
This course is aimed at people who wish to learn basic electrical skills or have a taster of what it is like to be an electrician.

This course is aimed at two groups of people; those who wish to gain additional DIY electrical skills and those considering a career in plumbing but would like to 'have a go', before committing to a longer course. There are no previous electrical experience requirements to attend this course - just a willingness to learn and a good sense of humour.
Our training groups are small with an experienced electrical course trainer. They will show you a task and let you have a go, simple!
The course provides DIY enthusiasts the chance to gain new electrical skills which they can use for their own projects or family and friends. The course is not aimed at those wanting to go straight away into being an electrician. For this we recommend the PPL Pre Part P, Bpec Part P and City & Guilds 17th Edition courses. Although the Electrical taster day is a good foundation for moving onto these courses.
We also run an Electrics for New Entrants course for complete beginners to the trade - this 4-week course takes candidates right through from basic electrical training to being a fully qualified electrician with nationally recognised qualifications.

The course is run on a Saturday with a start time of 10:30am and finishes around 4pm. There is also a free buffet lunch provided. Booking is essential as places are limited.
