Objective and aims of the course

To provide students with background knowledge of legionella and to enable them to manage and implement the monitoring requirement of water systems to ensure health technical memorandum 0401 compliance.

What will be covered

  • Legionellosis – Medical aspects
  • Water Systems Safety – background
  • Awareness of both statutory and non-statutory Health & Safety requirements
  • Monitoring requirements of hot and cold water systems
  • Flushing regimes
  • Water sampling requirements
  • Records and Log Books

Duration

A one day course, beginning at 09.00 and finishing at 16.30.

This course ends with a PPL Training written assessment.

Each delegate will be issued with an attendance certificate at the end of the course and a City & Guilds Accredited / PPL Training certificate of achievement once they successfully complete the written assessment.
