City & Guilds Accredited Legionella Management for Water Systems (York)

This City & Guilds accredited course is designed for the person identified within an organisation as being the nominated ‘Responsible Person’ or ‘Deputy to Responsible Person’ for control of the legionella bacteria within water systems.

To provide attendees with the necessary information to enable them to understand the duties and responsibilities of the nominated ‘responsible person’ and their ‘deputy’ for the supervision, effective implementation and management of legionella risk assessments, remedial work and management of Water Systems within their buildings to comply with approved code of practise L8.

Each delegate will be issued with an attendance certificate at the end of the course and a City & Guilds / PPL Training certificate of achievement once they successfully complete the written assessment.

• Legal Implications
• ACOP L8 and Guidance on the control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems
• Implementation of the written scheme
• Water Sampling and necessary actions
• Ensuring competency of staff, consultants and contractors
• Water Systems Disinfection requirements
• Hygiene Practice 
• Management of log book records

There are no practical aspects to this course, however, if necessary demonstration of temperature checking of hot and cold water outlets can be incorporated.
