City & Guilds Accredited Legionellosis - Legionella Control Refresher and Update course (York)

Who Will Benefit

Anyone who has completed a course on Legionella control or Water System and now find it necessary to refresh and update themselves on the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice L8 or changes to how the risk is controlled.

Purpose

To provide delegates with the requirements of any changes to legislation and the ACOP L8 and provide a refresher on the required legionella management of water systems.

What Will Be Covered:

• Review of medical aspects and water systems background
• Changes to ACOP L8 and relevant legislation
• Review relevant statute documents
• Review the Approved Code of Practice and other relevant guidance documents
• Review of Hot and Cold Water Systems
• Review of Evaporative Cooling Systems
• Review of control programmes
• Review of water sampling for bacteriological analysis
• Review of compiling a log book and which records to keep

Duration and Assessment

A one day course starting at 09.00 and finishing at 16.30.

Each delegate will be issued with an attendance certificate and a City & Guilds accredited / PPL Training certificate of achievement once they successfully complete an end of course assessment.
