City & Guilds Accredited Legionella Appreciation Course Overview:

A City and Guilds accredited course designed for staff who are involved in the implementation of the written scheme and who are responsible for maintaining site log books.

The objective is to provide students with background knowledge of legionella and to enable them to manage and implement the monitoring requirement of water systems to ensure ACOP compliance.

Each delegate will be issued with an attendance certificate at the end of the course and a City & Guilds / PPL Training certificate of achievement once they successfully complete the written assessment.

City & Guilds Accredited Legionella Appreciation Theory overview:

• Water Systems Safety – background
• Legionellosis – Medical aspects
• Awareness of both statutory and non-statutory Health & Safety requirements
• Monitoring requirements of hot and cold water systems
• Flushing regimes
• Water sampling requirements
• Records and Log Books
  

City & Guilds Accredited Legionella Appreciation Practical overview:

There are no practical aspects to this course, however, if necessary demonstration of temperature checking of hot and cold water outlets can be incorporated.
