Aeronautical Ground Lighting Maintenance Course Overview:

Who should attend?
Engineering staff with responsibility for the operation, commissioning and maintenance of installed AGL systems.

Purpose of course
To assist delegates in gaining the knowledge required to carry out maintenance procedures on installed AGL equipment.
It aids in meeting the competency requirements identified in BS EN 61821:2011 – Electrical Installations for Lighting and Beaconing of Aerodromes – Maintenance of Aeronautical Ground Lighting Constant Current Series Circuits.

 Maintenance requirements for AGL electrical circuits
 Safe working procedures
 Operation and maintenance of primary series circuits
 Maintenance of elevated fittings
 Operation and maintenance of constant current regulators
 Maintenance of inset fittings
 Maintenance of PAPI’s
 Illuminated signs
 Control systems

Course Duration
4 Days
Course starts at 0900 on day 1 completing at 1700 on day 4.

This course is accredited by City and Guilds.
