Bpec Solar Hot Water (non installer) Course Overview
This Bpec Defined Scope Solar Hot Water course is aimed at people joining or within the solar thermal industry. This is the non-installer version of the Bpec Solar Hot Water installers course. This course does not qualify the person in the installation of solar hot water systems, but does give a detailed technical background to those working with solar hot water installers. Typical course candidates include roofers, architects, building engineers, local Government, housing association employees and salepersons working within the renewable sector.
There are no previous qualification requirements for this solar course although candidates may benefit from taking the wider scope Bpec Renewable Energy Awareness course before this Bpec Solar hot water non-installer one.

The solar hot water course practical sessions take place on purpose built rigs at a safe ground level.

On this solar thermal non-installers course candidates will familiarise themselves with the various solar thermal equipment. There is no requirement to fit solar thermal panels or work at heights. The main purpose of the practical elements of this non-installers course is to understand the equipment used in the installation of solar thermal systems.
