This NICEIC Health & Safety Package course will begin with the NICEIC Manual Handling and the NICEIC Working at Heights and finish with CoSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).

NICEIC Manual Handling

Have you ever suffered from a bad back and the effects it has on your working and personal life, including those around you?  This course gives you more knowledge and understanding on how injuries can occur through any type of manual handling task.  It will help you carry out tasks safer, both at work and at home, thus reducing the potential risk of injury to yourself.

17th Edtion training centre 17th edition wiring regulations course 

This course includes a presentation and various exercises and demonstrations followed by a short test paper.  By the end of the course you will be able to describe what manual handling is and the types of possible injuries sustained.  You will also be able to explain the importance of applying the four factors affecting correct manual handling techniques.

NICEIC Working at Heights

This course will give you more knowledge and understanding on the dangers of working at heights both at work and at home, thus reducing the potential risk of injury to yourself and others.

17th Edtion training centre  17th edition wiring regulations course  

This course includes a presentation and various exercises followed by a short test paper.  By the end of the session, you will be able to describe the main causes of falls from a height and explain the procedures to implement in order to reduce the risk of potential accidents.

NICEIC CoSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)

This course will give candidates more knowledge and understanding on types of chemical products used both at work and at home, thus reducing the potential risk of injury to yourself and others.

This course includes a presentation and various exercises, followed by a short test paper.  By the end of the session, candidates will be able to describe the various forms hazardous substances come in and explain the procedures to implement to reduce the of a potential accident or injury.

NICEIC Manual Handling theory overview:

Part P Course Theory session

This course covers the following course content:

  • Introduction & Presentation
  • What is Manual Handling?
  • Causes of Workplace Injuries
  • Types of Manual Handling Injuries
  • Assessing Manual Handling Risk
  • The Working Environment
  • Legislation
  • Manual Handling Assessment

After covering the above course content, you will then sit a short 20 minute multiple-choice examination.

NICEIC Working at Heights theory overview:

Part P Course Theory session

This course covers the following course content:

  • Introduction & Presentation
  • Relevant legislation
  • Work equipment involved in working at heights
  • Hazards
  • Regulations
  • Hierarchy
  • Dutyholders reponsibilities
  • Protective measures

After covering the above course content, you will then sit a short 30 minute multiple-choice examination.

NICEIC CoSHH theory overview:

This course covers the following content:

  • Introduction & Presentation
  • Types of Hazardous Substances
  • Categories of Hazardous Substances
  • Routes of Entry and their effects
  • Occupational Diseases
  • CoSSH Assessment
  • Hierarchy of Control
  • Good Practices

After covering the above course content, you will then sit a short 30 minute multiple-choice examination.

NICEIC Manual Handling practical overview:

Following on from the theory content of this section of the course, there is a short practical demonstration of good handling techniques.  This gives each delegate the opportunity to practice the correct way in lifting a variety of objects.

NICEIC Working at Heights practical overview:

Following on from the theory content of this section of the course, there is a short practical demonstration using a relevant piece of equipment.  Each delegate is given the opportunity to practice using this piece of equipment.

NICEIC CoSHH practical overview:

There are no practical elements to this section of the course.  This section is solely theory-based.
