Course Facilities - Training

PPL has two specialised training centres in York. One for NVQ plumbing training at 95 James Street, York and another at 6 James Street, York for Electrical training and Renewable energy courses. Our partner centre Gaswise is also in York,  offers ACS gas training and assessments together with OFTEC oil courses.

At all of centres you will find a warm welcome and the very best of facilities. We offer free internet access, secure car parking, free refreshments and a host of support facilities to make sure you will return to us. Unlike some training centres we offer a wide range of plumbing courses, electrical training, gas training and assessments, oil training courses and green energy courses. We train you well so hopefully you will return to update or for additional skills - we don't just forget you. In fact 40% of our business is from returning students or from personal recommendations.

Our NVQ Plumbing Training Centre: PPL House, 95 James Street, York, YO10 3WW

This 8,500 sq ft complex comprises of two modern plumbing training rooms and three separate plumbing training workshop areas. It has 16 full bathroom installation bays, lead welding workshop, inside guttering bays, first fix wall space and even a full size roof rig complete with chimneys. Not to mention a full size 1300L rainwater harvesting rig and outdoor rigs for solar panel installations.

Our Electrical and Renewable Energy Training Centre: 6 James Street, York, YO10 3WW

Opened in September 2007, this 3,500 sq ft modern training centre caters for our Electrical training courses and Renewable Energy courses. This additional centre is due to be officially opened in July 2008 by Sir Patrick Moor (Astronomer) and Paul Johnson (Bpec Certification Ltd. Managing Director). It holds 4 dedicated training rooms, administration and support support services. There are two electrical training rooms each with 8 individual training boards, a renewable training room complete with solar panels, ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating training and unvented hot water training and assessment rigs. The electrical and renewable energy  training centre has on site car parking and free student internet facilities.
