PPL "Backing Young Britain"

PPL have joined forces with the "Backing Young Britain" campaign to help our nation's young people get a head start in their careers by offering work placements and apprenticeships.  Thousands of eager students leaving school/college each year fail to make that first crucial step onto the career ladder.  They are often overlooked due to their age and inexperience.  However, the potential in these youngsters is huge and the key to their success is support and development.  Here at PPL, we want to give young people the opportunity to learn a life-long skill and also, as a company, benefit from their enthusiasm, contributions and new ideas. 

James Booth, our Managing Director comments, "Young people are a valuable resource that we should all take the time to invest in.  Through working with our partners, we aim to bring opportunity to Young Britain, especially in our coure business, Renewable Energy & Sustainability.  As one of the country's largest renewable energy training providers, we aim to get 2000 young people into the industry within the next 3 years, through targeted training courses and modern apprenticeships."
