Cost of installing and owning Solar PV Panels "set to fall"

Friday 4th December 2009

It was announced this week that according to new research, 90% of existing solar PV panels now last for over 30 years, instead of the predicted 20 years originally forecast.

Due to incentives introduced in various European countries on the installation of solar panels, the cost of these materials has reduced dramatically, with the increased demand for the production of these PV panels.

This in turn is helping Europe to achieve its goal of reaching grid parity in almost all of Europe by 2020.

This is great news for all installers of solar panels as the uptake of introducing this type of renewable energy into homes and businesses is set to rise even further.

Please see the NICEIC Solar PV installers course page for more information.
