This assessment only course is for the City & Guilds 6022 Domestic Copper Installer and City & Guilds 6032 Sanitary Accommodation plumbing certificates. It is aimed at people wishing to gain formal plumbing qualifications before progressing towards NVQ 2 and NVQ 3 in Plumbing. Candidates for this course must have previous plumbing experience and we recommend, as a minimum, taking our Weekend Plumbing Introductory course and then our Weekend Bathroom Installation course.

Potential students should note that these certificates will not qualify the holder as a plumber, and that they are not part of the NVQ in plumbing. Some plumbing training centres offer these after a 4 or 6 week plumbing course instead of taking the City & Guilds 6129. It must be appreciated that while they give a good basic plumbing foundation, they both consist of one practical test and one 45 minute open book examination. The 6129 on the other hand consists of 60 practical tasks and 12 written closed book papers.
For more details on the 6022 / 6032 plumbing courses please see the theory overview tab.

A - Potential students should note that these certificates will not qualify the holder as a plumber, and that they are not part of the NVQ in plumbing. Some plumbing training centres offer these after a 4 or 6 week plumbing course instead of taking the City & Guilds 6129. It must be appreciated that they both consist of one practical test and one 45 minute open book examination.
