PPL Training Limited welcome people from all backgrounds to train at our centres and are delighted to be registered with various schemes assisting service leavers with their resettlement process.

Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC)

PPL Training are a registered training provider with the Enhanced Learning Credit Administration Service (often referred to as ELC or ELCAS).  The aim of the ELC is to promote "lifelong learning" amongst service personnel, providing the opportunity to claim up to £6000 towards retraining, either for a potential role within the armed forces, or for a future career upon leaving the services.  The ELC scheme contributes up to 80% towards courses and funding is only available for training towards higher level learning/nationally recognised qualifications at level 3 or above.

Professional & Career Development Loans

Professional & Career Development Loans, also known as CDL are low interest loans that are offered to those who wish to either re-train for a career direction or to increase their skills.  The loans offered are for vocational courses of up to 2 years duration, and the courses can either be full or part-time.  Repayments of this loan do not begin until after the course has been completed.

To qualify for a CDL, the chosen course does not have to lead to a qualification, but it does have to help with your career.  CDLs usually cover up to 80% of the course fees, however, in certain circumstances, sometimes 100% of the course fees are covered.  Certain conditions and criteria apply to be accepted for these loans.  Further details of the Professional & Career Development loans can be found by clicking here.
