Legionella Training Courses from PPL Training

Our full suite of Legionella courses will provide you will the knowledge you need to control, manage, and appreciate Legionella across different environments.

We provide high quality, City & Guilds Accredited, Legionella Control Training Courses for both the private sector Facilities Management companies with the Commercial, and public sector Healthcare and Defence (MOD) sectors. Our Legionella training courses are designed for anyone who is, or is about to be, involved in the control and management of legionella bacteria.

Legionella is a waterborne bacteria which thrives in moist conditions and may be found in your hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, disabled toilets, spa’s and hose pipes etc.

With a number of high profile prosecutions relating to legionella bacteria which have made it into the media, there is a growing need for building owners and managers to understand their duties and responsibilities as a legal requirement to identify and control the risk to building occupiers.

Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, there is a requirement for the duty holder to carry out (or arrange for) a risk assessment to identify if legionella bacteria could multiply within your water system. If there is an identified risk, then a Responsible Person should be appointed to implement and manage a written scheme to control the legionella risk.

This written scheme should be managed to the minimum standard Approved Code of Practice L8 or Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 0401.

We have industry recognised, leading training providers who have developed our courses to meet your requirements. We can also provide bespoke onsite learning should your circumstances require this.
