City & Guilds

This is a comprehensive website featuring information on the wide range of courses that City & Guilds offer, including plumbing, electrical, gas and oil training courses. City & Guilds offer the nationally recongnised plumbing qualifications in the form of the City & Guilds 6129 Basic Plumbing Studies certificate and the City & Guilds 6089 MES Plumbing NVQ. Both of these plumbing courses are offered by PPL Training. In addtional we also offer City and Guilds electrical courses in the form of the City & Guilds 2382 17th Edition Wiring Regulations

Bpec (British Plumbing Employers Council)

BPEC (Training) Ltd is a registered charity commited to identifying the education and training needs of those who work in the Building Services Engineering Industry and providng innovative solutions to address these needs. BPEC Services Ltd. promotes training materials to operatives in the building engineering services sector, including training manuals in ACS core domestic gas, ACS gas appliances, water regulations/byelaws and unvented hot water storage systems, in addition to business training such as IT and business planning.  PPL Training Ltd is a BPEC Certification Ltd. approved assessment centre and as such we are continually examined to ensure that high standards are maintained and procedures are carried out in accordance with a series of strict requirements. PPL Training runs Bpec approved courses such as Bpec Water Regualtions certificate, Bpec Part P Full Scope, Bpec Solar Hot Water, Bpec Rainwater Harvesting and Bpec Unvented Hot Water Systems course.

LOGIC Certifcation Ltd.

Logic Certification is a UKAS accredited Certification Body able to offer certification services under the Accredited Certification Scheme ( ACS ) for Domestic Natural Gas, Commercial Natural Gas and Liquified Petroleum Gas ( LPG ), and the OFTEC Oil Scheme through our network of approved assessment centres around the UK. PPL Training Ltd are an approved centre with LOGIC our details can be found on their site. They also offer the following non-accredited schemes; CORGI Electrical Defined Scope Scheme ("Part P"), Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating ("Part L"), Unvented Hot Water Systems ("Part G) and Solar Thermal Domestic Hot Water course. PPL Training runs the following LOGIC courses; the WRAS approved LOGIC Water Regulations Certificate, LOGIC Unvented Hot Water Systems, LOGIC Building Regulations, LOGIC Legionella Prevention. We run plumbing courses which form part of the LOGIC portfilo of qualifications.

CORGI

CORGI is the national watchdog for gas safety in the United Kingdom.

Their goal is to protect the consumer and make people safe when they use a trades person. They try and improve standards within the industry and assist the general public in finding and using competent trades people. PPL Training is registered with CORGI our membership number is 223357.

CORGI runs various competant persons schemes for tradespersons. CORGI Plumbing Competant persons scheme, CORGI Gas Qualified Persons scheme, CORGI Electrical Competant persons scheme and CORGI Ventilation Competant persons scheme. On sucessfully completing a City and Guilds 6129 Basic Plumbing Studies certifcate with PPL Training Ltd  the person my apply for membership of CORGI Plumbing Competant persons scheme and after successful completion of the Bpec Part P Define Scope course the person may apply for membership of CORGI Electrical Competant persons scheme.
