Welcome to PPL Training
We offer Renewable Energy, Green Deal, Energy Assessing, Electrical Installations, M&E Services, Legionella and Health and Safety courses in our modern well-equipped workshops and training classrooms. We also offer specialist training courses for Authorised and Competent Persons in Mechanical, Electrical and Aeronautical Ground Lighting disciplines. Our training courses range from new entrant skills training to the up-skilling of existing qualifications and are accreditated by UKAS awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, Bpec and NICEIC. We also run our own in-house PPL Training awareness courses.

PPL Training are an approved training centre with City and Guilds, Bpec, and NICEIC Certification. We are also members of the Solar Trade Association and the Renewable Energy Association. Who can help?
There are many different grants available for extending your present skill set or starting a new career. This will depend on your circumstances and employment background. These can be provided through Skills Funding Agency, local and central Government and DWP (Department of Work and Pensions).

The UK Governments Business Link organisation provides a regional support to business in all apects including grants and training assistance. More details can be found at Business Link grants
Local Government Grants
Many local councils have 'ways to work' programmes, which operate to assist people with addtional training or get them back into paid employment. We would advise you to contact your local council to see if there is any assistance available with this.
JobCentres
There is special funding available through the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) for people who are unemployed or face redundancy. Your local JobCentre will be able to contact the DWP Rapid Response Team to gain funding through this method.

Where can you find us?
Originally based solely in York, PPL Training now has a network of training facilities across the UK. Having recently expanded as a business, PPL Training moved into a new Headquarters on the outskirts of York in June 2012.
The new training centre has been equipped with the latest equipment and is very well designed to cater for new entrant training courses as well as the upskilling of existing tradesmen. The brand new training centre has 7 modern classrooms for theory based learning which includes wireless internet, smart whiteboarding and state of the art presentation materials. The facility also has a wide range of open workshops and practical assessment bays and for electrical assessments including Low Voltage, High Voltage and Aeronautical Ground Lighting.
We also have training centre facilities at the following locations:- York, Birmingham, Lincoln, Manchester, Norwich, London (Dagenham), Aylesford (Kent), Fleet, Reading, Peterborough, Exeter, Wigan, Newcastle, Worcester, Dumfries, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
