Course Overview
Developed as a follow up to our Heliports Visual Aids Principles course, highlighting the additional requirements and options for helicopter landing areas in healthcare premises. This course also covers relevant regulatory documentation, provided by CAA and ICAO.

Upon completion, delegates will have an increased understanding of the standards for helicopter landing areas at hospitals, including but not limited to; down wash regulations, deluge systems, other firefighting equipment requirements and an introduction to the role of the responsible person (including fire safety and emergency procedures).
Who is This Course For?
Any person involved with the management or day-to-day maintenance of Heliport / Helipad / Helicopter landing area at a hospital. This includes individuals working within Facilities Management (FM), maintenance staff or healthcare professionals who have regular interaction with Air Ambulance services. Training is designed to enable delegates to meet the requirements of, ICAO 9261 Appendix C - Heliport Manual and CAA - CAP 1264 - Standards for Helicopter Landing Areas at Hospitals.
