June 2025 has been a fantastic month for PPL Training, packed with significant milestones and exciting new ventures. We're thrilled to share some of the highlights, from expanding our top-tier training facilities in Scotland to connecting with industry leaders and even sparking an interest in engineering among the next generation!
Training Expands in Scotland: Our New Livingston Centre is Now Open!
This month marks a huge step forward for PPL Training as we celebrate the opening of our brand-new Livingston Centre at 3 Bain Square. As part of our planned expansion to boost capacity and enhance accessibility in Scotland, we've relocated to this modern facility.
Our Livingston Centre boasts six spacious, modern classrooms and over ten expansive practical training areas. It's conveniently located on the Kirkton Campus in West Livingston, just a stone's throw from local amenities like the Livingston Designer Outlet – making it an ideal, accessible learning hub.
Now, we can deliver our full portfolio of training courses, covering all disciplines, right here in the heart of Scotland. The first two weeks have been absolutely wonderful, welcoming delegates to our modern learning environment. The feedback from them has been incredibly positive, confirming that our design provides the best possible learning experience!
This expansion, adding an incredible 12,000+ sqft of space, doesn't just bring the familiar, high-quality training experience of York and Slough to Scotland - it also allows us to significantly develop and tailor courses specifically around Scottish standards, regulations, and SHTMs in vital disciplines such as High-Voltage, Low Voltage, Ventilation, Medical Gases, Fire, and Legionella. This ensures our training is not only comprehensive but also perfectly aligned with regional requirements.
Inspiring the Next Generation at Big Bang NEC
We were absolutely thrilled to join our long-standing affiliates, the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), at the Big Bang NEC event this month. It's always a pleasure to support IHEEM, and we were excited to contribute to such an inspiring occasion.

PPL Training brought along an engaging educational game from one of Apave’s businesses and key figures, Trainior – their captivating ‘Go High or Die’ game. This interactive experience was designed specifically to engage children aged 12-15, making safety concepts fun and accessible. More importantly, it sparked genuine interest in engineering, maintenance, and estate management among the younger generation. Seeing their faces light up as they learned about safety in a dynamic way was truly rewarding and reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing future talent in these essential fields.
