It Is Good To Be Back

Our York and Slough Centres Are Now Open

Notice

Due to the age of this post some of the information maybe out of date.

Safeguarding Your Return to Training

As the UK edges closer towards the end of the lockdown, we are pleased to announce that our training centres in York and Slough are back open to both existing and prospective clients.

Our teams have been working tirelessly over the past few months to put COVID-19 specific measures in place to safeguard both you and staff.

Last week saw our team deliver non-residential courses in both centres including our City & Guilds Accredited Authorised Person High Voltage Operation and Safety, AP/SAP High Voltage MOD Sectors and Authorised Person Mechanical and Pressure Systems training courses.

We are now looking forward to our residential courses resuming from Monday 6th July 2020.

Revised Training Programme Released

A revised programme has also now been released in order to fulfil postponed dates and take into account the limited classroom numbers to take on future delegates. Existing clients who have been affected by postponed dates have been or will be contacted to make the relevant arrangements.

Our Client Services team are ready to rebook your training and accommodation. If you would like to speak to us regarding an existing/postponed booking please contact our team on 0333 121 1215 or email info@ppltraining.co.uk.

Buildings and Facilities

We have made significant changes and adapted our facilities to ensure you don't just feel safe but that you are safe when entering our training centres. This ranges from our new online self-registration and sign-in system (shown below) which will include a health declaration, to staggered course times/breaks and social distance markings.

Our Classrooms and Practical Areas

Our classrooms have been rearranged to ensure effective social distancing, which has reduced delegate numbers to a maximum of 6 (York) and 8 (Slough), the classroom areas have also been deep cleaned and will be maintained on a regular basis.

Course documentation is being produced in advance of the course, to allow for the degradation of any contaminants, and issued as a complete document at the beginning of the course in a tote bag for you to take away.

In our practical areas we have added floor markings to help you and our teams maintain a safe distance.

Courses where possible are being split across buildings for better social distancing and all test / practical equipment used to be sanitised before and after use.

Shared Areas

We have made added safety measure into our shared areas, notably for toilets and refreshment areas. Our toilets are being deep cleaned daily and use is now restricted to one user only. We have also installed PIR Activated Red/Green lights where necessary to indicate when our facilities are in use. Common areas are equipped with Zoono Germfree24 foaming hand sanitiser dispensers as well as virucidal wipes for use on surfaces.

Any table used for refreshments will be wiped down after every use and social distancing requirements are to be maintained in kitchen areas.

We have also removed ceramic mugs and replaced with paper cups and individual coffee/tea etc provided instead. Gloves are being worn by staff replenishing stock and drinking water dispensers are sanitised daily.
